ISAGO Audit Preparation
Aero Support Group supports organizations for ISAGO Registration.
Below you can find information for ISAGO Registration and Audit Process.
ISAGO is a registration scheme for GSPs. ISAGO Registration is the formal recognition that the GSP has been audited at its Headquarters and its processes, procedures and operations have demonstrated conformity with the applicable GOSARPs. ISAGO Registration is granted to a GSP as an organization.
An Operator that provides ground operations to itself or other Operators and seeks ISAGO Registration would be subject to the same requirements as a GSP.
ISAGO Registration is the formal recognition that the GSP has been audited, by IATA recognized ISAGO Auditors, and has demonstrated conformity with the applicable ISAGO Standards and Recommended Practices (GOSARPs) specified in the ISAGO Standards Manual (GOSM). ISAGO Registration applies to the GSP’s organization as a whole and requires the GSP to demonstrate that ground operations conducted at one or more of its Stations are also in conformity with applicable GOSARPs. In this respect, a Station that has been successfully audited will receive a Station Accreditation.
GSPs are expected to maintain conformity with the applicable GOSARPs at both their Headquarters and all accredited Stations throughout the period of ISAGO Registration.
The different types of ISAGO Audits conducted are:
A Headquarters Audit (MHQ), which assesses conformity with the applicable GOSARPs related to a GSP`s corporate management policies, processes and procedures for the provision of ground operations within the scope of ISAGO at all Stations.
A Station Audit (STN), which assesses conformity with the applicable GOSARPs for the GSP`s implementation of corporate and locally managed processes and procedures for the ground operations performed that are within the scope of ISAGO.
A Combined Audit (CTN), which assesses conformity with the applicable GOSARPs related to a GSP`s corporate management policies, processes and procedures for the provision of ground operations within the scope of ISAGO at only one Station worldwide. The GSP must have its only Headquarters located in close proximity of the Station, allowing the audit of the Headquarters and Station to be effectively treated as the same audit.
ISAGO (IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations) consulting is a service that is provided to ground handling companies to help them prepare for an ISAGO audit. ISAGO consulting firms specialize in helping ground handling companies develop and implement an effective safety management system (SMS) that is in compliance with ISAGO standards.
ISAGO consulting firms provide a range of services to ground handling companies, including gap analysis, risk assessments, SMS development, training, and audit preparation. These services are designed to help ground handling companies identify areas of their operations that may not be in compliance with ISAGO standards and to develop strategies to address these areas.
An ISAGO consulting firm will work with a ground handling company to identify areas of its operations that pose the greatest risk to safety and develop strategies to mitigate those risks. The consulting firm will also help the ground handling company develop an effective SMS that is tailored to its specific operations.
By working with an ISAGO consulting firm, ground handling companies can improve their safety performance, reduce the risk of accidents and incidents, and prepare for an ISAGO audit. ISAGO consulting firms have extensive knowledge and experience in aviation safety and are familiar with the ISAGO audit process, which can help ground handling companies navigate the audit process more effectively.
Overall, ISAGO consulting can be a valuable investment for ground handling companies looking to improve their safety performance and prepare for an ISAGO audit.
ISAGO (IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations) is a standardized audit program that was developed by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to evaluate the safety performance of ground handling companies. The ISAGO audit evaluates an organization’s safety management system (SMS) and operational safety performance against a set of internationally recognized standards.
The ISAGO audit is conducted by IATA-approved auditors who are trained to evaluate a ground handling company’s safety performance against the ISAGO standards. The audit process involves an on-site visit to the ground handling company’s facilities, where the auditor will review documents, observe operations, and conduct interviews with personnel.
The ISAGO audit covers a wide range of operational areas, including ground handling, loading and unloading of aircraft, cargo handling, ramp safety, aircraft cleaning, and de-icing. The audit assesses an organization’s compliance with the ISAGO standards and identifies areas where improvements can be made.
The ISAGO audit is an important tool for ground handling companies to assess and improve their safety performance. It provides a standardized framework for evaluating an organization’s safety management system and helps identify areas where improvements can be made. Additionally, the ISAGO certification is a requirement for ground handling companies to do business with many airlines, which provides numerous benefits to companies, including increased business opportunities and access to industry resources.
Overall, the ISAGO audit is an important component of the aviation industry’s commitment to safety and is a valuable tool for ground handling companies looking to improve their safety performance and meet the expectations of their customers.
ISAGO (IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations) accreditation is a certification program that is awarded to ground handling companies that have successfully completed an ISAGO audit. The accreditation is valid for two years and is renewable upon completion of a subsequent audit.
To become ISAGO accredited, a ground handling company must undergo a comprehensive audit of its safety management system (SMS) and operational safety performance. The audit is conducted by IATA-approved auditors who are trained to evaluate a company’s compliance with the ISAGO standards.
Once the audit is completed, the ground handling company will receive a report that identifies areas where improvements can be made. If the company has met all of the requirements of the ISAGO standards, it will be granted ISAGO accreditation.
ISAGO accreditation is an important recognition of a ground handling company’s commitment to safety and adherence to international safety standards. Accreditation provides numerous benefits to companies, including increased business opportunities, improved operational efficiency, and enhanced safety performance.
Furthermore, airlines often require their ground handling partners to be ISAGO accredited, as it provides assurance that the company has been audited and found to be in compliance with the highest international safety standards. This can result in increased business opportunities and customer confidence.
Overall, ISAGO accreditation is a valuable certification for ground handling companies looking to improve their safety performance and meet the expectations of their customers.
